Weekend Wear-abouts: MK + Animatronicans + Baby Shower Sneak Peek

Happy Monday. Here's hoping you had a nice weekend- we sure did!
Lilly for Target Tunic // Jessica Simpson Maternity Jean // Lilly Pulitzer Flats (old) // Charleston Rice Beads (worn as bracelet) // Kendra Scott Elsa Necklace

If you can believe it, we haven't been to Disney in over two weeks! Saturday broke our dry spell with a quick dip into the Magic Kingdom. We parked at the Contemporary and took the monorail over.

John calls this "the best deal in the park!" I think it's $3.99 or something like that, for a kid's scoop of ice cream. Just enough.

I, of course, opted for my Citrus Swirl.
Lilly Pulitzer Michele Tee // Target Maternity Shorts // Rainbow Sandals // Lilly Pulitzer Wristlet (old, similar here) // Charleston Rice Beads (as necklace AND bracelet- can you tell I'm kind of obsessed?)

I LOVE these hanging planters at the Adventureland Veranda.

John wanted a cheeseburger spring roll.

We went to the Hall of Presidents- John has never seen it before! Distinctly un-patriotic.

Then we met up with Danny and Angie for lunch at the Plaza. Their tomato soup is SO good!

That night, John and I went to the Orlando Fringe Festival to see a showing of The Animatronicans. It's about four animatronics, seen below, who all live together in a house in Windermere. You can imagine it is NOT Disney sanctioned; they even do a tongue-in-cheek spiel about how if anyone in the audience works for Disney legal, your car is being towed and you should leave now! :)

It was really, really funny. If you're in the area, try to go see it. Disney fans will love all the inside jokes, but if you're easily offended, you might want to pass. We loved it though.

Of course I geeked out and wore my W.E.D. shirt.

And got attacked by a T-Rex!

On Sunday, we drove to Melbourne for our first baby shower! More details to come-- it was so precious. Two of my girlfriends, Amy and Molly, did the sweetest job. They even used a Lilly print on the invites!

I left my camera and phone in my purse the whole time and truly enjoyed the moment. It was so nice, but because of that, I sadly didn't take ANY pictures! Thankfully my friends were on it. These are a few Snapchat screen shots from Christine and Thomas- I'll have more pictures to share when Christine has a chance to go through her 'good camera' and send them along. Thanks, guys!

Amy made this darling diaper wreath.

Molly put together the adorable cake-- look at the attention to detail! The macarons look like oysters with pearls, the sugar cookies look like sand dollars, the Lilly table runner-- SO CUTE!

Me with the hostesses with the mostesses. Of course I've been feeling and looking extra bloated lately- perfect timing. Especially standing next to these skinny bitches. ;)

Like I said, I'll be back with more details on the shower. Thanks again, ladies, for such a wonderful time.

Thanks for reading. Cheers!

XO, Ashley

  1. How adorable; LOVE all the details on the baby shower! I am a sucker for party details! I can't wait for the rest of the pics, thank you so much for sharing. Ya know, I still need to try a citrus swirl. Kari *o*

  2. I definitely dream about going to this party place again. The live music at venues in Houston was an added bonus, providing a backdrop for the fun hours spent imbibing, tasting, and chatting up with the breweries and beer distributors.
