Lilly Pulitzer Patriotic Prints

Memorial Day weekend is here! The 'official' start of summer goes hand in hand with my beloved Lilly Pulitzer. Did you know Lilly releases a Patriotic Print every year? It debuts at the beginning of the season and when it's gone, it's gone. I try to snag at least *something* with the print every year. Some past favorites:

I know I'm missing a ton but I was surprised at the lack of info there was about this on the interwebs. At least my handful of searches didn't turn up a bona fide list or the like. Let's get on that, people! If you have any more information, send it my way.

While searching for those images I kind of went down a rabbit hole (exactly one of the reasons I never blog anymore) and found an interesting post about the history of Lilly, specifically the different tags in vintage Lilly. It's a quick read so take a look. Much like my love for Disney, Lilly Pulitzer's rich history plays a large part in the appeal. Check out these vintage Patriotic Prints! The first one reminds me of Sam Eagle. The third one is kind of nightmare fuel; don't say I didn't warn you.

I have to admit, I'm not crazy over this year's print (same could be said for the past couple of years) but I'll still be adding one of these to my collection. The hat actually has stellar reviews. The Hazelle short is a new style that I'm eager to try on.

Whatever you wear, have a safe and happy one, folks. Thanks for reading!

XOXO, Ashley
