Lilly Pulitzer NOW OPEN at Disney Springs + SALES!

Lilly Pulitzer officially opened at Disney Springs here in Walt Disney World on May 24th, 2016.

Did you hear the angels sing? I did.

I scooted over after work to see the new space. It's located in the covered 'train depot' section of the new addition to Disney Springs. Loads of photos are at the end of the post, so scroll on down if you're so inclined.

In usually Lilly style, the boutique is decked out in bright, bold prints on the walls. Melissa Sixma is the mastermind behind these, and travels to each store to put her hand-painted touch on each one.

The fitting rooms are a mixture of hand-painted and wallpaper. It is said (by Lilly's official Snapchat!) that there is a hidden Mickey in each fitting room, but I failed you, dear readers, and did not find a single one. I even asked several of the employees, and they were not aware either. Looks like we all have some digging to do. (Oh darn, twist my arm to HAVE to spend more time in a Lilly fitting room!)

I headed in and started Snapchatting away. Hopefully you were able to follow along and saw some of the footage. If not, I've included my Snap story below.

I was happy to see one of my managers from when I worked at the Mall at Millenia store, Jaime. She's a Disney and Lilly fan as well, so she's in hog heaven getting to manage this location now.

After Snapping, it was time to get down to business. And by that I mean browsing the wares to see what might work over this ever-expanding baby bump. I took quite a few options into the fitting room and went to town.

Surprisingly, a handful of things worked. These were the items that were hanging on my 'possibly-maybe' hook in the fitting room:

And these are what ended up coming home with me:

I'll do a separate post on my pregnancy style in the very near future, including what sizes I've been buying in my Lilly to wear as 'maternity' clothes.

Hubby met up with me right as I was ringing up my purchases (talk about bad timing, geez!); but it was an easier pill to swallow when we discovered that Cast Members get a 20% discount! SO, the more I spend the more I save, right? Isn't that how it works? I think so.

I spy a cute (but ready to go) husband in the background:

After shopping, we met up with our friends Angie and Danny and snacked our way through the new area of Disney Springs.

John and I split the Southern Classic burger at D-LUXE Burger- de-licious!

Then we all grabbed a cupcake from Sprinkles (get a free cupcake just by registering on their site).

Then it was on to the new Morimoto Asia Street Food take-away window, where we split a Tempura Shrimp Handroll.

Finally, we hit up the Poutine stand. French fries covered in beef gravy with cheese curds- what could be bad? Nothing, I tell ya. It was all good.

Ok, before I go, I wanted to give you a heads up on some sales that are happening.

Starting Friday, May 27th, Lilly is offering tiered gifts with purchase through Memorial Day.

Nordstrom just started their 40% off sale that runs through June 5th. Shop early for the best selection, including these Jack Rogers ($89.90) and Hunter rainboots ($89.96).

Get 20% off a Serena and Lily through Tuesday with code HEREWEGO. A few of my favorites for Baby Will's nursery include this crib sheet ($28.80) and foot stools ($46.40).

Get up to 60% off select pieces, plus free ground shipping, at Kendra Scott through Monday at midnight. I love this pyrite necklace ($49.97) and this stackable ring trio ($64.97).

Finally, Kate Spade is having a surprise sale through Thursday, May 26th. I picked up these pave bow studs (only $19, originally $48!). This little snail coin purse is cute too, and would make a sweet gift for a girlfriend.

Ok, I think that's all for now. I'll be doing a Lilly giveaway in the next few days, as well as a long-overdue Blog Sale, so stay tuned!

Thanks for reading.

XO, Ashley

Dressing for the DisneyStore.com Family and Friends Sale

Happy Valentines Day!

I LOVE Valentines Day- not so much the 'candy and jewelry and flowers and Hallmark' Valentines Day, but the 'pink and red and love and hearts' Valentines Day.

The DisneyStore.com is showing their love for us by having their Friends and Family Sale until Monday, February 16th. Just use code: DISNEYPAL at checkout to get 25% off everything- including Sale items!

Below I've put together some of my favorite items. Happy shopping!

Accessories- Disney Store Sale

A Minnie Mouse eye pillow for sleeping in on the weekends, or for keeping out that ray of sunshine that inevitably shines through the closed curtains in your Resort room, no matter how tightly you pulled them shut. You know that I'm talking about. // Light up wristband and shoe clips for running in the dark. // A pretty Mickey watch- I'm not much for Mickey watches, but this one is subtle, classy, and on-trend with the white. I love the monochromatic look. // Everybody needs a pair of diamond Mickey studs, no? // I really like this Mary Blair inspired, it's a small world Dooney. It's a good size, too.

Ladies Shirts- Disney Store Sale

I like the two shirts at the top, both the football jersey style and baseball tee, and have eyed them in the parks the past few times I've gone. They're part of the 2015 merch line. // This Hatbox Ghost sweatshirt is awesome-- especially since rumors are swirling that the infamous Hatbox Ghost will be revived in Disneyland's Haunted Mansion in honor of the 60th Anniversary. // This varsity jacket comes in both a Disneyland and Walt Disney World version.

For the Home- Disney Store Sale

I've been lusting after this Haunted Mansion blanket for over a year now- this might be the time to break down and buy it, with it being on sale and all. // This little throw pillow is sweet, and features a print of a map of WDW. // The next three items reside in my house: The Tomorrowland cup is the perfect size for juice, and comes in prints featuring other lands in the World. // The little plate on the left is just the right size for a piece of toast for breakfast, or a nice snack size. Again, comes in other prints. // Tiki room pillow, because Tiki Room.

Sale items- Disney Store Sale

I'm not a fan of the Frozen frenzy, but if you're gonna get an outfit for your Frozen obsessed child, now's the time to get it at half off. // A Kermit pillow. 'Nuff said. // This nail polish is so pretty, and looks JUST like Essie's 'Bikini So Teeny' which is a super flattering, on-trend color for spring. // The teacher in me is always thinking of ways to get boys interested in writing, and this Chewbacca journal does just that. What a cool way to inspire them to keep notes about their Disney vacation! // This Dooney is my go-to park bag; you can see it in the picture below. I hook it through two belt loops and *bam*, high-style fanny pack. This print is on sale because they introduced an updated version, but personally I like this one better.

My Valentine.

ALSO, yesterday the Tower of Terror released it's new merchandise line. Some of the artists and designers were there to sign their work. You can see all of the new items on my Snapchat- username: disneyfiedash.

Left to right: Tyler Dumas, Brian Blackfmore, me, Richard Terpstra. Richard designed the tote bags we're holding, and Brian designed all the 'character drop' ToT merch.

Did you get anything from the Friends and Family Sale? What are your thoughts on Valentines Day-- love it, hate it, indifferent? Let me know in the comments below!
